John Hnath

Born in Bully Les Mines, France in 1951 John Hnath is a professional photographer with 28 years expereince specializing in animals.

He came to the US in 1956, grew up in western New York and attended college in New Mexico. He served in the United States Navy and in the Submarine Service from 1969 to 1972.

He trained his first German Shepherd-Mix, that he acquired in 1993 for search and rescue and became president of the group in 1994. He acquired his first German Shepherd Dog, a female named Sarah, in April 1994.

His work has excelled in various art shows and his experience as a handler affords him the extraordinary ability to capture the true essence of his subject.
